DIRECTOR OF THE NATIONAL HISTORICAL MUSEUM OF THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC, ZHYLDYZ BAKASHOVA, PARTICIPATED IN THE 12TH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS “PEACE AND HISTORICAL EXPERIENCE OF MONGOLIA”

Director of the National Historical Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zhylkyz Bakashova, took part in the 12th International Congress “Peace and Historical Experience of Mongolia”, held under the auspices of the President of Mongolia, Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, in Ulaanbaatar.

The congress was personally opened by the President of Mongolia, who on behalf of the entire Mongolian people expressed gratitude to the participants: “In ancient times, the messengers of friendship from the Great Mongolian Empire proclaimed the Great Mongolian Peace on swift steeds to the world. Today, you serve as scholarly envoys introducing the world to Mongolia,” noted the head of state.

Over 500 scholars from 27 countries, including Kyrgyzstan, Russia, China, the Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Japan, Germany, the USA, and others, participated in the congress.

On behalf of Kyrgyzstan, Zhylkyz Bakashova, Director of the National Historical Museum of the KR, presented a report on the topic: “Ancient and Medieval Historical-Cultural Ties between Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia.” Furthermore, during the congress, a meeting took place between Zhylkyz Bakashova and the director of the “Genghis Khan” museum, Sampildondov Chuluun. To implement the “Memorandum on Cooperation in the Museum Field,” signed during the recent visit of the President of the KR, S. Japarov, to Mongolia, the museum leaders of both countries agreed to implement joint scientific research projects in the museum field, joint scientific conferences, organization of internships and exchange of experience in the field of professional development on a mutually beneficial basis, as well as to provide scientific-methodological assistance and consultations on the conservation and restoration of museum exhibits, conducting joint archaeological works, popularizing cultural-historical values, and so on.
